Liberal party members help provide relief during COVID-19 quarantine

Liberal Party members from 24 chapters and organizing committees in 14 areas around the country heeded the call to volunteer during the COVID quarantine.

LP president Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan thanked them for volunteering in various COVID-related activities of Vice President Leni Robredo, LP chairperson. These include volunteering for the shuttle service, relief goods and PPE packing and distribution, and donation drive.

With their participation, Vice President Robredo’s donation drive for front-line health workers yielded P57,495,351.55 (*as of April 28 Kaya Natin report This is equivalent to 130,498 personal protective equipment sets and 15,598 food and care packages for front-liners.

Aside from his own relief operations, Pangilinan himself continues to advocate for food security during and after the quarantine, encouraging local government units to directly buy their food package content from farmers.

“Sama-sama po tayo sa laban na ito. Tulungan at damayan ng bawat mamamayan ang susi sa ating kaligtasan,” he said.
