Vice President Leni Robredo’s trust and performance ratings in Pulse Asia Research’s latest survey showed she continues to enjoy majority support.
Released on July 17, the results of the survey conducted June 24-29 showed that Robredo’s performance rating was at 61%, just 3 percentage points higher compared to March’s 58%.
Her trust rating is now at 60% — 4 percentage points higher than in the March survey.
Geographically, she got the highest in Balance Luzon at 66% for both categories, followed by a 63% performance rating and 61% trust rating in the Visayas.
In Mindanao, the Vice President got 60% for her performance rating and 57% for her trust rating.
The ratings of the Vice President are lowest among respondents in Metro Manila, where she received 44% for both trust and performance.
Among socio-economic classes, Robredo got the highest increase in performance rating among Class E respondents, who gave her a 72% rating from the previous 66%.
Perceptions on her performance were generally similar among those in Class D where she got a rating of 60% from 57%.
Class ABC respondents gave her a 44% performance rating, similar to the previous survey’s 46%.
Meanwhile, her trust rating in both Classes D and E improved at 60% and 69%, respectively. Her trust rating in the upper and middle classes suffered by 6 points from 49% to 43%.
Pulse Asia conducted face-to-face interviews with 1,200 respondents nationwide. The survey has a ±3% margin of error with 95% confidence level.
Among the pressing issues during the time the survey was conducted were the crisis in Marawi City, the declaration of martial law in Mindanao, petitions against martial law lodged before the Supreme Court, and concerns about President Rodrigo Duterte’s health due to his prolonged absences.

“We view these higher ratings as an affirmation of the work we have been doing over the past year. Through the Angat Buhay program, our office has consistently pushed forward the vision of uniting various groups and sectors to uplift the lives ordinary Filipinos,” said the OVP.
“This further strengthens our resolve to keep working hard to reach out to our fellow Filipinos — to listen to their concerns, to uphold their interests, and to engage them as partners for building a better, fairer society for all, especially the last, the least, and the lost.”
