Vice President Leni Robredo and several lawmakers belonging to Partido Liberal are going to Germany for a series of discussions on poverty alleviation.
At the invitation of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Philippines, Liberal officials who will also go include party president Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, party secretary general Rep. Kit Belmonte, Rep. Kaka Bag-ao, Rep. Bolet Banal, Rep. Teddy Baguilat, and Rep. Miro Quimbo.
Robredo is party chairperson.
FNF regularly hosts study visits for leaders in developing countries to allow them to dialogue with officials and key figures from other countries.
At no cost to the government, the Liberal officials will be imparting their experiences and knowledge, and at the same time, learn from the experiences of other countries on how to overcome poverty.
